English exam preparation

Prepare for IELTS with Focused English Practice

IELTS assesses Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Use official IELTS materials for current test rules and sample tasks, then use focused language practice to strengthen the skills those tasks require.

Prepare across four skills

  • Listening: follow main ideas, details and speaker purpose
  • Reading: locate information and understand relationships between ideas
  • Writing: organize a clear response and support it with relevant detail
  • Speaking: answer directly, develop ideas and remain understandable

Use an evidence-based practice loop

  1. Choose one skill and one clearly defined task.
  2. Complete it under appropriate conditions using an official sample where needed.
  3. Review the reason for each difficulty, not only the score.
  4. Practise the underlying language skill.
  5. Repeat with a new task and compare your process.

Keep official information separate

Test formats and policies can change. Check the official IELTS preparation resources before relying on timings, task details or booking requirements. Fluencast examples focus on language development and do not reproduce official questions.
